To this day he remembered the words his former lover left him with. The scratches on his fins that were barely visible were reminder enough. He dreaded this. Was he ready? Did love seem all that appealing considering what happened before? Infinity had always lived in the past. But those words lingered, and he wasn't sure if Beyond was to be trusted. Nobody was to be trusted. No matter what he felt. It was hard to cry, be happy and be torn between options at the same time. Years of discomfort flooded back, and he spoke as he wept.
